Exchange of Contract

Finally contract was exchanged with Oran Park through Steve Rayward who did the Conveyancing. He is charging me a bit high I think, around $1800 but that does include all procedures such as even builder contract review etc. so that we are not unnecessarily overcharged in anything. I am happy with his service, nice guy and very helpful. I get replies from him even at 4am !

We have paid 10% deposit during the exchange. Bank cheque of $33,550 was drawn against Oran Park's solicitors account. One of the clause was, they will invest our money and we should not have any obligation on it ! How pathetic !! I think thats how the world works !

Now the journey for finding OUR own builder, who will consider us as a family, not just a regular invoice number.

Land at ORAN PARK

Hi everyone, I thought to share my experiences with you guys. I never planned to build a house being honest - but see where I am at now ! On a recent land release, just to check out - I opted in for the release. And suddenly got amazed to see I have got a priority number ! Woho ! Our priority number was 23 and there were very few choices we had, and luckily got the one we wanted. Paid $500 on spot, and got the Cap and Umbrella from Oran Park as welcome note !! My wife says, they gave caps to avoid suns and umbrella to avoid rain - as journey ahead finding builder needed both ! Hehe
